Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Project Ezra Global handles information through projectezraglobal.org and the EzraOne devotional and mentoring app.

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Project Ezra Global operates the Project Ezra Global website and the EzraOne app. EzraOne supports devotional learning in which students can follow a Journey, record reflections, and receive feedback from an approved teacher or mentor.

This policy applies to visitors, teachers, mentors, students, parents or guardians, and anyone who submits information through our website or app. It does not govern a third-party website or service that has its own privacy policy.

Our core commitments
  • We collect information needed to provide and protect the devotional and mentoring experience.
  • We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
  • A teacher can only review the learning activity of students connected to that teacher’s class or mentoring relationship.
  • Users, parents, and guardians can ask us to delete an EzraOne account and its associated data.

2. Information we collect

3. How and why we use information

  • Create, verify, approve, and support teacher and student accounts.
  • Deliver Journeys, unlock devotional days, save progress and reflections, and let teachers provide feedback.
  • Connect students with the correct class, teacher, or mentor and enforce role-based access.
  • Send requested login codes, account notices, teacher-review messages, devotional reminders, and other service communications.
  • Answer support, partnership, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • Operate, secure, diagnose, maintain, and improve the website and app, including detecting misuse and resolving errors.
  • Meet legal obligations and protect users, Project Ezra Global, and the public.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely as applicable on providing the service requested, consent or authorized adult consent, our legitimate interests in operating a safe educational service, and compliance with law.

4. Who can access information and the services we use

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or use it for cross-app or targeted advertising.

  • Teachers and mentors: An approved teacher can view the identity, Journey progress, reflections, and feedback history of students connected to that teacher’s class. Students can see feedback intended for them.
  • Authorized Project Ezra administrators: A limited group can review teacher registrations, manage accounts and devotional content, provide support, investigate safety issues, and process privacy requests.
  • Microsoft Azure: Cloud hosting, databases, storage, queues, and operational diagnostics for EzraOne.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: Delivery of app notifications to devices where notifications are enabled.
  • Email and website providers: Resend and configured mail-delivery services send transactional email; WordPress and our website host process public-site content, forms, security, and delivery.
  • Apple and Google: The app stores process downloads, store interactions, and platform information under their own privacy terms.
  • Legal and safety disclosures: We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, prevent harm, investigate misuse, or protect legal rights.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to us and subject to their contractual and legal responsibilities.

5. Children, parents, schools, and mentors

EzraOne is designed to support children and young people in a supervised devotional-learning setting. We intentionally limit student registration information. A student can use a unique account name, and students identified as under 18 are not asked to provide an email address to EzraOne.

Parents, guardians, schools, churches, and mentoring organizations are responsible for providing any notice, authorization, or consent required for the children they enroll or supervise. Teachers and mentors must use student information only for the devotional and safeguarding purposes for which access was provided.

A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or delete a child’s information. We will take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s authority and the relevant account before acting. If we learn that information was collected from a child without required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

6. Website cookies and similar technologies

The public website may use essential cookies and local browser storage required for security, form handling, accessibility, preferences, and administrator sessions. Hosting and security systems also create server logs to keep the site available and protected.

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies or personal information for behavioral advertising. Embedded content or a link to another website may be governed by that provider’s cookie and privacy practices. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies may prevent some site features from working.

7. Retention, account deletion, and what happens to the data

We retain account and devotional-learning information while an account is active and for only as long afterward as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support users, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Device tokens are retained until replaced, disabled, no longer usable, or associated data is deleted. Verification codes expire after a limited period.

After a verified full-deletion request, we remove the account profile and associated active-service data, including applicable memberships, Journey progress, reflections, teacher feedback, and registered device tokens. A deletion request for a student may also remove the teacher’s access to that student’s records.

We may retain limited deletion-request correspondence, security records, or information required by law. Residual copies can remain temporarily in protected backups until they are overwritten through the normal backup lifecycle; they are not used for ordinary product activity. We will explain any material exception that applies to a request.

Use the EzraOne account and data deletion request page. We normally acknowledge a request by email, verify account ownership or parental/guardian authority, and aim to complete a verified request within 30 days unless a different period is required or permitted by law.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, restrict, object to the use of, or delete personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

You can disable push notifications in your device settings. Teachers and eligible students can ask us to correct account details. Students, parents, and guardians can ask about the information visible to a teacher or request that a class connection be removed.

We may need to verify your identity or relationship to a child before completing a request. We will not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, access controls, role and relationship checks, private cloud storage where appropriate, and monitoring intended to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, EzraOne, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
